The new berserker units that you can hire are also really good at making short work of Crushers. Crushers are really good at demolishing your walls, but they are stunned by fire. Greed Floaters don't exist in Norse Lands, and have effectively been replaced with Greed Crushers, which are strictly land-based attackers. I'd occasionally use the Horn hermit, but the Stable hermit has never been useful for me. The Fire Tower Hermit, available on the 3rd Island, is also pretty good, but you should put them ahead of any walls that you have so you can set Greed on fire as they approach your kingdom. I usually convert one (and only one) of the innermost towers to a brewery so I can draw in vagrants from all over the map (the Brewer is serves the same purpose as the Baker in Two Crowns and New Lands). The Brewer, available on the 2nd Island, is my personal favorite. Some hermits are more useful than others. I did the two-controller method and used Gullinbursti to farm coins using his special ability. That second player could get themselves a different mount than the one you might be using (like Gullinbursti, the gold-digging giant boar, or Fenrir, the giant wolf that buffs your army). A second player (or second controller) is extremely useful. The Archer shrine and Builder shrine should not be passed up, but frankly, I had enough gems by the end game to afford all of the shrines and still get access to everything I really wanted to use. It summons a ghost crew of 4 archers and one knight that will attack anything Greed, including the smaller Greed portals. The Trophy Head is cool too, especially if you get it (and use it) relatively early. That said, the Greed can also use the portals that you create, so you might be facing down hordes of Greed unnecessarily if you're not careful about its use. This is especially useful for bomb transport to the Greed lairs on each island. The Portal Horn can be used to make a blue portal and an orange portal (I see what you did there) and can transport soldiers from one portal to the other instantly. Mjölnir will cast down lightning 6 times before needing a 15-second recharge, and the lightning will target the Greed specifically if they are close enough to you. The Items of Power are useful in their own right, though to get this achievement, you may want to stick with either Mjölnir (3rd Island) or the Portal Horn (1st Island). Great for lingering damage on armored Greedlings. He is pretty fast and his special is a charge attack that will knock any Greed back, and sets a fire trail in its wake to kill any Greed that step on it. The best mount, in my experience anyway, was Sleipnir, who is available on the 3rd Island for 3 gems and 12 coins. Getting a better mount is definitely one of the first items with which you should concern yourself. I'd recommend playing Two Crowns before jumping into Norse Lands, as Norse Lands is more challenging. This is not terribly different from the You Have Sealed Your Reign in History achievement, though it should be said that there are some pretty key differences between Two Crowns and Norse Lands.
